Anticipated Endowment

The Anticipated Endowment Plan is a scheme that allows you to build a cash reserve to fulfill your cherished dreams, such as providing for your retirement, children's education, buying your own house, etc.

This plan is specially designed to provide you with cash, when it is most needed. You don’t have to wait until maturity to receive the sum assured. Allows you to build cash reserveto meet your short, medium and long term financial obligations. As everyone’s needs are different and change over time, this plan is designed to be highly flexible. You can choose currency of premium, payment terms, insurance cover, contribution level and add additional benefits / riders to match your changing needs.

What it guarantees?

  • At the end of 1/3rd time period of the term of the policy, you will receive 25% of the sum assured.
  • At the end of 2/3 rd time period of the term of the policy, you will receive another 25% of the sum assured
  • At maturity of the policy, you will receive the balance 50% of the sum assured plus bonuses.
  • In the event of death of the insured, the full sum with the acquired bonuses will be paid out, irrespective of the stallments paid under "A" and "B".

Terms Offered

You can opt for a fixed term period of your choice: 12 years, 15 years, 18 years or 21 years

Endowment Anticipated Policy

Endowment policies enable you to accumulate a sum of money over a period of time - with the added guarantee that Oman Insurance will complete the plan for you, if you do not live to the end of the period. Should you die during those years, your beneficiary would receive a death benefit, which could equal or exceed the endowment amount.

The face amount is payable to the owner at the end of 10, 15 or 20 years or to the beneficiary upon proof of death of the insured person, if death occurs within the plan term. Policies may be either participating or non-participating. Premiums are payable for 10, 15 or 20 years or until prior death of the Insured.

  • Annual / Yearly – AED 1,000 or USD 275
  • Semi – annual / Half Yearly – AED 750 or USD 200
  • Quarterly – AED 500 or USD 150

  • AED 20,000 or USD 5,000

Maximum Age of entry

  • 65 Years

Joint Endowment Assurance plan

Endowment Assurance covering two lives. The sum assured is payable at the end of 10, 15 or 20 years if both persons are still alive, otherwise the sum assured is payable on the death of the first to die. Should both die simultaneously or within a 45 days period of each other before maturity and prior to Joint Equal Age 65, full death benefit is payable of each assured. Policies may be participating or non-participating. Premiums are payable as long as both insured live, with a maximum of 10, 15 or 20 years.

Progressive Education Plan

The Progressive Education Plan for children guarantees your child's education in the event of total and permanent disability or death of the payer. This plan ensures that regular sums are out aside for the child's education. The funds accumulate and can be used at the time of need. There is also life insurance coverage for the child and the parent.

At maturity, the policy will pay the sum assured plus bonuses. In the event of payer's total and permanent disability of more than six months, the company will:

  • Pay the child a monthly income of 1% of face amount until policy matures.
  • Waive all future premiums during the disability
  • Maintain the life insurance coverage of the child and pay the sum assured + acquired bonuses at maturity.

In event of payer's demise, the company will

  • Pay 20% less of the face amount to meet the immediate expenses.
  • Pay a monthly income of 1% of the face amount until policy matures.
  • Waive all future premiums.
  • Maintain the life insurance coverage of the child and pay the sum assured + acquired bonuses at maturity
In the event of the child's demise, the company will
  • 2 years or less: all premiums are returned with 6% interest
  • 3 years: 25% of the face amount plus accrued bonuses (if any are paid)
  • 4 years: 50% of the face amount plus accrued bonuses (if any are paid)
  • 5 years: 75% of the face amount plus accrued bonuses (if any are paid)
  • 6 years or above: the full face amount plus accrued bonuses (if any are paid)

You have the choice of following additional benefits / riders to enhance coverage according to your needs and circumstances;The following riders are available:

Accidental Death Benefit (ADB)

Pays an additional amount equal to the basic policy face amount as at the date of issue of the policy in case of Death by accident.

Permanent & Total Disability (PTD)

Pays an additional amount equal to the basic policy face amount as at the date of issue of the policy in case of permanent and total disability due to sickness or accident. The benefit is paid in installments of 20%, 30% and 50% after 6 months, 12 months and 24 months of commencement of disability, provided that the insured is still disabled at that time.

Permanent & Total Disability, Accident Only (PTDA)

In case of permanent and total disability due to accident, this rider provides that the sum insured be paid in a similar way as the benefit payment for the standard PTD rider.

Waiver of Premium (WOP)

Provides for a waiver of premiums on the basic policy and attached riders if the insured is totally and permanently disabled for at least 6 months, till end of the disablement or policy maturity which ever occurs first.

Hospital Indemnity Rider (HIR)

Pays a daily benefit, selected by the client, of between AED100 to AED800 for each day spent in a hospital, subject to a minimum of 4 days and maximum of 365 days.

Critical Illness Cover

CIC sum assured is subject to the maximum of 50% of the face amount and also subject to a limit of US$50,000 or its Dirhams equivalent. This is intended to help and relieve the financial burden of your health crisis if you were diagnosed as suffering from one (1) of the following illness:

  • Heart Attack
  • Coronary Artery Disease Requiring Surgery
  • Cancer
  • Stroke
  • Renal (kidney) Failure

Critical Illness Cover - Plus (CIC plus 13) Provides medical coverage in addition to our comprehensive list of Illnesses.

CIC plus (CIC plus 13) sum assured subject to the maximum of 50% of the face amount, and also subject to a limit of US$100,000 or its Dirhams equivalent. This is intended to help and to relieve the financial burden of your health crisis if you were diagnosed as suffering from one (1) of the following illness:

  • Heart Attack
  • Coronary Artery Disease Requiring Surgery
  • Heart Valve Replacement
  • Surgery for a disease of the Aorta
  • Stroke
  • Paralysis
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Coma
  • Blindness
  • Cancer
  • Renal (kidney) Failure
  • Major Organ Transplant
  • Major Burns

Extended Term Assurance (ETA)

After payment of three (3) consecutive year’s premium, if you find yourself unable to pay the premiums, you may still keep your policy in force for an additional period and benefit form the security of full insurance cover, regardless of your location, residence etc at that point of time.
